Information about the death of former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi is still interesting to be discussed. An Italian media recently wrote that Gaddafi was killed by a French agent, not by the Libyan people.
Al-Arabiya reported, Monday, October 1, 2012, the news was delivered by the Italian newspaper Corriere della Serra, citing information from a diplomat in Tripoli, Libya. He said the killer Gaddafi is probably French agent.
According to sources, the French agents had infiltrated among the mass of rebels seeking Gaddafi hiding in the town of Sirte, in October last year. It is also said by a former Libyan prime minister, Mahmoud Jibril, told Egyptian television station.
"Foreign Agents join the revolution and killed Gaddafi brigades," said Gabriel.
Previously, it is known that the inventor of Gaddafi, who was hiding in the ditch was a young 22 year old named Ben Omran Shaaban. Almost a year after the incident, Shaaban was kidnapped and killed by Gaddafi loyalists.
Corriere della Serra wrote, the agent received a direct order from the president of France at the time, Nicolas Sarkozy, to kill Gaddafi. Allegedly, Sarkozy concerned relationship with Gaddafi leak if the dictator was captured alive.
Sarkozy and Gaddafi's famous close friend. Libyan leader for more than 40 years is even reportedly donated millions of dollars to the success of Sarkozy's election as leader of France in 2007.
"Since the beginning of NATO's support for the Libyan revolution that is fully supported by the government of Sarkozy, Gaddafi threatened to expose to do with the former president of France, including the millions of dollars that he gave in the 2007 presidential election," wrote Corriere della Serra.
It is not yet ascertained the truth of this information. However, if proved, it would be a blow to France, Britain and the U.S. who argue rescue civilians when their jets sent troops to bombard Libya.
